Located in Poipu Kauai Hawaii
If you like to snorkel or surf, you’ll love this spot. Directly to the right is a sand beach that Sunset Magazine once named the best snorkeling spot on the south shore of Kauai. When the south swell hits, surf spots Smokey’s, PK’s, Centers and Acid Drop are perfect and located literally downstairs. The Beach House restaurant sits adjacent to the building and offers a gourmet dining experience with amazing sunset views.
Kuhio Shores is within walking distance of many desirable sights on the South Shore. If you exit the condo to the left you’ll reach Allerton Botanical Gardens (where parts of Jurassic Park were filmed), the Spouting Horn (with an island craft fair), and Kukuiulu small boat harbor (where Captain Andy’s sunset cruises and fishing boats depart). Walking to the right will take you to the Kukuiulu Village for upscale shopping and dining and to the beautiful beaches near the Sheraton Kauai.
If you don't feel like walking, less than a 5 minute car ride takes you to historic Koloa Town, the grounds of the Grand Hyatt Resort, and the stunning Poipu beach (ranked by the Travel Channel as one of the best beaches in the world!). Poipu Beach features an ocean kiddy pool, picnic areas, snorkeling, surf lessons, lifeguard tower, and lots of parking.
